Digital inclusion (that is, open access to technology) is of critical importance to young South Africans, if they are to participate meaningfully in the digital economy. However, in South Africa, where resources are scarce, this is often difficult. Professor Mmaki Jantjies, who is an Associate Professor in Information Systems at the University of the Western Cape, made this point at last week’s Entrepreneurship Development in Higher Education (EDHE) Lekgotla.
