In a keynote address delivered at the Stadio Holdings 2018 Academic Conference in Pretoria on 15 October, Prof Barney Pityana laments the current open contestations about the Constitution. He argues that in these circumstances, South Africa is losing its fundamental system of values that – it was hoped – would bind this country together.
