Transformation and visual redress at universities requires much more than simple discussions

The year 2015, particularly 9 April of that year, will forever symbolise a change in the South African higher education sector. It was on this day that the statue of Cecil John Rhodes at the University of Cape Town was removed — action initiated by the #RhodesMustFall students’ movement. It marked a change.
